The Simpler Things in Life

So you think you have all the answers? I dare to disagree with that statement.

Have you ever pretended to just...be. You know "be", as in, "be" something that you weren't to hopefully become something more than who you are.

I think if we all pretended to be children for one day-pure, honest, beautiful children-then this world, for at least that one day, would be a happier place. Why? Because children are what make this world tolerable. They cherish the simple things of life: like crayons and grass and beauty found on the inside. If you ever take the time to truly talk to a child about...nothing...you will find you learn something more about...everything.

And that's the honest truth of the matter.

I wish I were a flower observing a bee. My petals would open as I welcome the sweet embrace of fuzzy legs touching down on my velvet skin, feeding off of something else that I am able to give other than my beauty: my nectar. Which is what I was made for. I was not made for the enjoyment of myself, for indeed after just a short amount of time I will very soon cease to exist, but rather I was made for the enjoyment of others, both in the form of a radiant splendor that I am allowed to give by breaking forth under the sun, and also in the form of sweet nectar that a tiny little winged creature will make into something that humans may enjoy.

Oh if one could learn to appreciate the simpler things in life!! I do believe that would make all the difference. A feather floating in the breeze, the way the grass sways gently and the trees creak and groan, a tiny insect walking through a forest of grass, a cat sleeping on your bed, a child sleeping in your arms, your hair, and so many other beauties that most people choose to ignore. Why? Because we are ignorant. We get wrapped up so much in our own sorrows, troubles and pains that we choose to forget to count our blessings. And indeed if we were to try to count them out we would soon find ourselves unable to because of lack of time. And time, for sure, is but one of the many blessings in this world.

Choose to appreciate today before tomorrow comes, because each day is unique and different (despite it seemingly being repitious and endless) and after it is gone you will never have a chance to make up for what you lost what you could've done that day. Because then it will already be tomorrow.

Cryptic words? Ponder my meaning. Maybe then you will understand.

Love,
--Becca =) <3
