I think we underestimate the power of God. Whatever happened to that childlike faith talked about in the Bible that so many people had? Noah, Jonah, Ruth, Rebekah (^.^), Rachel, Daniel, Abraham, David, John, Matthew, Paul, etc. etc. etc. on and on and on. They believed and it was "credited to them as righteousness". But now these days it's like "well that was Bible days. God spoke directly to the people." So? God still speaks directly to us too! It's that still small voice that whispers in our ears.
What I'm try to get at is, why have we lost faith? Why do we not believe that God will bless us, that he will heal us, that he will make us a new creation. The old has passed away and all things have been made new. Our faith is in direct contact witht the will of God. If we have faith that God's plans are far better than our own, then we can move mountains. We try to take everything into our own hands, try to make everything happen just the way WE like it. But what if what God has in store for us is better than what WE want? What if it's better than our plans? News flash: it is. There's no "if" about it.
"The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord." Job 1:21. Job had so much taken from him, and yet he never stopped praising God. He wasn't perfect, no man is, but he still trusted that the plans God had for him were far better than the plans he had for himself.
So why do we doubt? Why do we fear? Why do we think that if nothing goes our way then the whole world is crashing down? No matter what happens God has EVERYTHING under control. nothing is impossible with him. Do you believe that? I do. Now live like you believe. have FAITH.
